I was looking to get the PSPgo, only because I just want games off the PSN, no UMD's. I will be treveling, so don't want to carry any more bulk. I think I will go for the PSP3000, but here's my question's.

1 - I dont own a PS3, I know PSPgo comes with a disc so you can download of your PC, does the 3000 as well.

2 - Will there be any difference in load times between the PSPgo and PSP3000, with both games being of the PSN.

3 - How fragile is the PSP, will it be ok for travel?

Thanks for any help.

The PSP Go pretty much lacks every single game available in the PSP library, with only first party titles or new games possible getting DD releases.

People say the PSP go looks a lot sharper than the 3000. All PSN titles, including PS1 cIassics can be downloaded to the PSP go. There isn't a difference in that regard in comparison to the 3000.

You'll be missing out on a lot of great games with the Go if you don't but the PSP 3000. However if first party titles are all you want then a Go is alright.

The 3000 is incredibly light, it seems like you could crush at any second. I imagine the Go is also as light as a feather. A traveling case though is enough if you want it on the go.

1. As far as downloading goes there is nothing the Go can do that the 3000 can't!

2. No

3. Yes - I take mine away with me all the time. I would recommend a Logitech hard case if you go for the 3000 though

i like the psp 3000 instead of the go because you can buy used games. you cant buy used games on a go. so thats a ton of money saved. ive bought at least 30 psp dmd games used and havent had a problem with a single one. my friend has a go and he is constantly complaining about paying full price for games

Thanks for the help, seems like I should probably just get a 3000 and save some money.

Sorry, 1 more question. What is the max size of memory I can use with the PSP3000, can I get a 32 gig card, or is it just 16? Thanks.

If there are 32Gb Pro Duo's you can find, by all means. Lot more expensive though.

Ok as a person who owns both ill break it down the Go is easier to carry around and the screen is better and I find the controls more comfortable. Also Built in 16 gigs is very nice and the 3 free games you get with the go is very nice the bad of course no UMDs so you miss out on some games and you will have to buy a card and 16 gigs can cost 40-80 dollars. Personally if its your 1st psp id get a Go

well i have a go also and I always suggest a go for those who already have a psp especially a 1000 or 2000. I love my go but with my 1000 i have the option to purchase a umd game if its not released on the psn. However if its a dual release then I always get the psn copy. Just get a 3000 with at least a 16gb memory stick and youll be set.

BTW which ever one you get you really cant go wrong. The hate on the Go is misguided a lot as its based on its price and that most people stick with physical media. I remember when there was no itunes or ipod but when it came people didnt like it and stuck with cds. But look how it is now with the iphone and itunes apps, music and video store. Direct download will eventually be the entire handheld future. Also I can almost gurantee that the psp2 will be only backwards compatable with psn games and not umds.
