Possibly switching from XBOX 360 to PS3.. I need BIG TIME help

hey guys.. im thinking of swithcing from xbox 360 to ps3. I can tell you right now that there more games on the xbox 360 that are better and more of a selection at the moment.. but alot of the games i do like are also for ps3 like call of duty 4 madden rainbow six vegas( which is my favorite game) and gta IV and others... What would make me want to swtich from xbox 360 to PS3?

What big exclusives are there coming out?

1)Yeah, all those games you mentioned are all multi-plat so there would be no point in switching.

2) As for you wanting us to tell you what would make you want to switch from an xbox to a ps3, I have no idea. You tell us? It sounds to me like your set with your 360, you like the game selection for it, and all the games that you mentioned for the ps3 are also out for the 360. So, I don't really understand why you want to switch from your 360?

i did the same thing i dont regret it the ps3 graphics are godlike compared to the 360

or at least i dont think its owned by microsoft... but i have read that there could at least have a mass effect 2 out bc EA doesnt make many, if any, exclusive titlesnyyankeesjg25

any way just check the games we gave u and check out playstation 3 home ... blu ray quality....free online ....free demos and trailers....and soon play station network will be the same as live sony are working on it now and it will come by the end of the year ( in game music + masseges and those stuff ) we got rumble now + motion sence just like the wii controller and if you are asking your self my friend : why should i buy ps3 ?

answer : god of war 3 on ps3 thats one big reason for me ...and yes if this game was exlusivly on 360 i would buy 360 just for this game it rocks babe ;)

The chances are big I expect the orignal or the sequel to come now that the game is owned by EA and EA loves money so making it multiplat would be up their alley. And as for the PS3 HOME is also coming out and PSN is free and always getting better plus the AAA titles are coming out this year so you should get one soon.

i was in your same situation dude, but i finally made it to the PS3 side ( still have to get it, and i dont own a 360 , since i sold it ).

Some points ( PERSONAL OPINION )made me switch

1.- LIVE .- it costs 50 bucks per year, and yeah its cheap,has some cool features, friend invites etc. but at least for me, i didnt played that much for live , so i was paying for something that i used few times. And with PSN i will not pay, so i will not worry for my spent $, and we all know that PSN lacks some LIVE features such as friend invite, in game invite all that... i really dont care

2.- for the 2008, the 360 only has 2 TOTALLY exclusive games i want ( fable 2 and NG2 THEY ARE NOT ON PC ) while the PS3 has MGS4, LBP, HAZE, KZ2, Resistance 2, Infamous, GT5, The Agency, MotorStorm 2 ( maybe 2008 release), WK Chronicles. And by 2009 360..... i dunno wich game will come out on it... while the PS3 ( FF XIII, FF VXIII, GOW3 more than enough to satisfy my purchase )

3.- Standard HDD, whereas the 360 doesnt.

4.- Reliability ( NO RRoD )

5.- had some other , but i forgot :o

i have a standard tv.. 30 inch.. so i dont need HD cables obviously.. put what u mean the 20 gig doesnt have wireless?wireless online? i have a ethernet cable so that doesnt matternyyankeesjg25

Nothing... why would you need to switch? The trade-in value for your 360 and games will be pathetic. Save until you can have both and then you don't need to worry. Don't "switch sides", become neutral.

Blu-ray is the future standard, PS3 got it

btw microsoft NEVER owned bioware
and mass effect was orignally going to a ps3 game untill MS paid bioware to make it for the 360 so im betting they still have the ps3 code left over somewhere

But MS still retains all publishing rights to the entire Mass Effect franchise soooooo.....

Haven't read any posts but I'm gonna say what I like most about PS3, this is from a die hard Halo fan.

• Free online
• Highly customizeable with remote play, folding, and much more features
• blu ray
• sony exclusives

Yah man. Microsoft just screwed me over with my halo 3 disc. The case cracked the game disk and then I sent it to then and they lost it. They hung up on my twice and I just got off the phone with them again and the superviser just told me straight up I will not be getting a new one.

So I am thinking of ditching my 360 with the many problems behind. Following the horriable live support for Canada. We get everything last or don;t get it. Our last movie was the invasion and that was before christmas. Theres to many stupid ads that slow it down ontop of the update to get the predators on the look out for the little kids because you can post your life and it says your name town and country. Microsoft lose $1 BILLION! on the 360. I am not impressed with there quality or service. Blu-ray is nice and HD-DVD is toast. I just sold mine. But as far as I care it will be worth it and with sony fixing and adding a new gaming experience it wil be worth it. With the ps3 you get it all in one simple package. sure people bash it but they did a real good job with it and wish the other did the same.....
