I actually have an opposite reason for not buying. I like the dark fantasy setting but I did not like the gameplay.

Demo didnt float my boat. BUT, the demo music (preview on XMB) is incredible and spooky. It reminds me of something Danny Elfman would produce.

This is a definite purchase for me. I loved the demo and all of the collectible creatures. Looking forward to seeing how all of the upgrade features play out also. We've had a few mediocre rpg's on the PS3 already but this is the first promising one for me. Definitely something new.

And guys remember that they removed the voice from the cutscenes to keep the file size smaller... there will be voice to accompany the reading.

the setting looks very amazing but i don't find the gameplay interesting ..
story dosn't look like it will shine.. (not buying it)

Nope. Only a few cutscenes have voice acting. The rest is written dialogue with no voice acting.

This game is for JRPG fans, it's selling well in Japan and receives a 33(8 8 8 9) from Famitsu, period.lhbchen

Anyway, this game is more of an action-adventure game than an RPG. You don't really level or anything. I suppose catching the creatures is RPG-ish, but I wouldn't consider it an RPG.

YES, you do level up by collecting the FOLKs and use them in a manner. It's just in a different way.
