i might not get it. i havent played MGS 1-3, and stealth games just don't interest me (never liked the early good Tenchu games, and i hate Splinter Cell).
MGS4 seems to rectify my problems though by making it more action oriented... but if i'm going to be lost in the storyline the whole way, then that just sucks for me.

Good points. I do prefer the frenetic pace of run and gun games (like Warhawk and some competitor's game that shall go unnamed) but at the same time, MGS4 looks so good (and is so heavily hyped) that it would be hard to pass on it.
Hell Yeh!!! And for those who are lost in the storyline, go to utube and just watch all the movies from Sons of liberty and Twin Snakes and you will understand everything because no matter wat the sacrifice this game is not to be missed. If everyone had played the previous MGS's this game would hav been more hyped that Halo 3.
i played mgs 1 and got up to somepart where you fight this ninja with a sword and he gets invisible?? i dont rember as much, thts when i stoped playing MGS so na i aint getting it
I am not getting it. I never did like the game play and controls of the earlier Metal Gears on the PS and PS2. But the games graphics do look incredible.
I'm not getting it when it releases. I'm going to wait a year (i'll probably rent it and buy MGO to keep me occupied) to see if the special edition comes out. So far I own every limited edition special edition of MGS in existence :P Must complete the collection!
