I recently bought a PSP, and so far I have Final Fantasy Tactics and Daxter. (put 14 hours into FFT in 3 days =P) I'm getting Jeanne D'Arc for christmas. Here's a list of the games I'm thinking of picking up. Anything you guys could tell me about them would be helpful. Money isn't an issue... so I could buy more than one if I had to... but time is an issue however =P

The main reason I picked up a PSP was to avoid having to buy a ps3 to fulfill my japanese-bred-gaming needs... Outside of that I am not adverse to most genres, but keep that in mind for the other option. Thanks!

nice selection of game there All of them are cool and worth a look,

R&C bring all the familiar gameplay with some new additions to the psp

Disgaea is just as good as before and now it's portable

Kingdom of Paradise is a cool action rpg with a good story and ton of move to learn and master.

other games I would recommend are:

Syphon Filter Logan's Shadow (imo the best shooter on the PSP solid single play story and online multiplayer),

Street Fighter A3m (IMO it's the best version of alpha 3 to date),

Megaman Powered Up ( the original MM redone with new graphic and now you can play as the bosses),

Killzone Liberation (top-down tactical action done right solid single and multi-player modes),

and there are a bunch more ....... the PSP has a huge library of great games!

If you haven't played it MGS PO, Castlevania DXC (it's hard and also short but you get 2 games) Silent Hill Origins and Metal Gear Acid 2 I like as well.

Thanks B-Bad and Roman. I've never played a Ratchet game before, so it wouldn't be familiar to me :P I've never been a fan of MGS, Castlevania, Street Fighter, Megaman, or Silent Hill though :) I just found out that they have spammed Dynasty Warriors onto the PSP... How's the transition? Is it as awesome as the PS2 versions? (I like hack n' slash gameplay.... despite critics telling me not to like it) Also, which of the two are better? 1 or Vol 2? Thanks again.

Dynasty Warriors isnt my type of game but I did enjoy the second one more than the first. other hack and slach games on the PSP worth checking out are Dungon Siege, Untold Legends 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and even Beowulf.

Rand C gameplay is a mix of platforming and shooting with a large selection of upgradable weapons.

You should definatly try out tekken and one of the burnout games if you get tired of rpgs, SOCOM isnt a bad pick either.

I never get tired of RPGs :D Not a Fighting game fan... outside of Smash Bros. Not really looking for a tactical shooter either, but thanks :) I'm leaning toward Ratchet and Clank and Disgaea so far. Thanks again guys.

About the recommendation for one of the Burnouts I'd second that. I'm actually enjoying Burnout Dominator as much or maybe even more than Legends in spite of a bunch of criticism Dominator has gotten. They are both worth having though i'd say. Wipeout pure is another great racer but if you're interested in getting it at all maybe just wait until the beginning of Feb. and get Wipeout pulse but again Wipeout Pure is also one of the top rated psp games already.

What can one expect in the way of campaign length from Disgaea and Ratchet? I'm torn between Disgaea, Ratchet, and Monster Hunter 2. I LOVE LOVE LOVE FFTactics, but I'm also getting Jeanne D'Arc for christmas... so I don't want to overload on strat games. That said, I LOVE anime-esque and strat games :P I almost bought a PS3 for Ratchet and Clank, but decided to settle for a PSP instead... It looks fun, but I question its longevity. Speaking of longevity, I'm also thinking about Monster Hunter 2. I'm a mmorpg'er from way back, so a bunch of grinding doesn't bother me... and it looks like a good bit of fun :) I just don't have the time to pick up all three, as I've bought a ton of games in the last month and I'm getting more for christmas =/... Gah! Any and all info helps guys, thanks!

Dilemma solved. I decided to order Disgaea and a 4GB memory card. Looks like I'll have lots of space for anime and music now! That means all 3 of my PSP games I've purchased so far will be srpgs =P (Except my 4th game game, Daxter... which came w/the psp). FFTactics, Jeanne D'Arc, and Disgaea... There's a theme here! Thanks for the input, guys.
