Pre Order Metal gear bundle at Buy,com

does anyone trust pre ordering from buy.com and getting the console on the day or a day or two after the console is released? Or is it best to try and beat he crowd myself?

i have bought stuff from buy.com before also but i am not sure how they ship games and systems. your local gamestop is not taking pre orders?

If you really must have it on launch date, beat the crowd. But, since I'm ok to be without for a whiles from the release date, if I were to get it, I would pre-order it.

The seller did put up the warning, "...this does not guarantee you a unit at launch...". So, if they sell out before fufilling all the pre-orders, you would have to wait for another shipment from Sony, which would depend on Sony and may take more than a day or two.

What took my surprise was "this version of the PlayStation 3 is NOT backwards compatible with PlayStation 2 games". Hope that was in error but probably would not have used that feature anyway.
