I subsriped to Qore and i will gladly subscripe to the new service 8).. tho again Sony said PSN as we know it now will still be free and the subscribtion will be optional

Now that actually sounds doable for me... I mean you're saving money on DLC, depending on the prices, but I doubt that's going to happen... it's to convenient.

being that really i use the online component only for DLC (free content) and the occasional online game i can't see them offering anything that would make me want a premium service. they'd have to offer a LOT for me to consider it.

What they need to do is make sure that no one can play online unless they pay, I think we're a year or two away from seeing that sadly

I'm just glad Sony smartened up. I don't want to deal with average stuff for free. I'd rather pay money and get something of above average quality

What I'm REALLY hoping for is that when Sony says "up to this point will be the same" I hope they mean that all software previous to this you can play online for free and then from this point onward if you want to play online you need to pay

Sony's really got something going now that they're charging, it took a while but they finally have the right idea

I feel good, I and others have been mailing Sony asking to set up a pay system so we can get better quality, I just thank God they listened and stopped all this free business

If you can still play online without this subscription then I probably wont feel hurried to get this. I actually do not know many of the features that you get with the premium psn but I hope it is good. What I will not like is if Sony do the same rubbish as Microsoft and force xbox users to pay for gold membership, otherwise you cannot play online. Owning an xbox 360 sucks!

Go away! Just because you want to pay to play online doesn't mean the rest of us do. Instead of sending Sony letters saying you want to pay them, just send them $50 so you can feel good about yourself. I already pay for xbox live, but I like that PSN is free. It does everything I need itto for free. Party's and private chat are already gone (for the most part) from Modern Warfare 2 for the 360, and who knows what other developers will follow Infinity Wards example and not allow private chat in online multiplayer. Basically, Modern Warfare for the PS3 has the same features as the xbox version, yet it costs $0! That is how it should stay.

I don't care if they charge for extra stuff such as cross game chat, and premium whatever, as long as what they have right now - the ability to play online - stays free.

im going to bet that its a bundle of psn video service, cross game chat and quore combo

i m praying SONY will let us be able to stream and watch movies from there store (just like Netflix). if so then i'd be more then happy to pay LP4EVA2005

I think Cross game chat will come before this, no way will we wait till next-year to have a feature we've been asking for for months!

Everything that PSN has right now is basic.

Everyone will have online play, facebook etc. without paying Premium.



Premium will likely include Qore, Beta invites, and more.




Current PSN content will remain free.
