Yeah I entered the 1st prestige last week sometime...Haven't really played much lately but im at lvl 46 i believe now. Im working all weekend so this week Ill be back up and playing a lot more just to get most of my weapons back!
I heard that you can only go through prestige mode three times and thats it. Is that true or what. I dont think that it will ever happen to me, just askin.

Three times? No, there are 10 levels of prestige. I'm on my third now.
I'm lvl 54 right now and I've been thinking about never going into prestige mode so I don't lose my guns or camo. I only will if it gets confirmed that you unlock something cool after a certain prestige level. I heard that you get grass camo for sniper rifles after a certain prestigle level but I don't believe it.

Except a cool little badge lol. Guess I'll never go into prestige mode then. I'll just get some gold weapons and stuff.
what do you do in prestige mode? Is it team death match? and if you do it do you loose your guns? even in normal mode? after you beat prestige mode can you do it again? Also after, do you have to ga back and re unlock your guns?

It just resets your rank to 1 and takes away all your challenges and weapons, but you get a special looking badge and you pretty much restart with just a special badge and you can go through it ten times or something, each time you get a different badge. That's it.
Bufu21, when you "unlock" prestige mode, you return to level 1, and you essential start over. There are no extra benefits or rewards, the only thing you get, like wallpaper42 said, is a "cool little badge" next to your name.

There's no missions... It's just the same exact multiplayer. You should see players in prestige mode all the time. Just look at their badges.

There's no missions... It's just the same exact multiplayer. You should see players in prestige mode all the time. Just look at their badges.
IW should patch the game so that each time going prestige you can have a choice of any 1 perk to default. So your 2nd time through you would be able to be using 4 perks. Theres so many that I don't even use but would love to but hate to give up something else. But anyway by the 10th time through you would actually be using 13 perks and would be called god lol. But this would definitly give the feel of accomplishment and a reason to go prestige. Everyone trying to be unstoppable and reach the holy grail. :)
Only on 32 on COD4 but was wondering that in prestige mode do you need less points to get upgraded to a next level or is it the same as the normal mode!

Don't worry about game mods. When you go into prestige mod you can play all the differnt types of games, (search and destroy, harcore) for level 1. I'm on my 3rd time though level 35 and it doesn't get boring to although about 8 of my mates have the game and its like a competion to see who is the highest rank.
I reached level 55 in two days but never went in prestige so I have all gold guns and everything unlocked!! but, more important, I need all the perks because I do clan wars so I can't loose a CW only because of a stupid logo
I went into first Prestige last week and I'm back up to level 43 or so right now. I just did the first one so that I could say I did, but I don't plan on doing a second one. Yeah, I know it's bragging rights, but I'll work on completing all of the challenges instead.
