Well... just like the new PSP, a new Slim PS3 has been leaked and it "might" include a lower price with it. I'd say just keep saving your money for the next couple of months to see if anything is announced. This way you'll be able to buy more games with more money saved, and possibly more if they DO announce a lower priced, slimmer PS3.
I predict Sony will pull a 360 and remove various things from the PS3 to make it slimmer and make you buy them seperately.

One of the biggest draws of the PS3 is that it has a blu ray so I can't see them taking that out.

They looked more real than the PSP Go! pictures, but there's really no way to tell though, so we just have to wait and see.
It's easy to spot fakes though, so honestly I believe the rumors and photos. But that's just me, nobody else has to believe the rumors just because I believe them to be true.
No price cut, you should wait though, sony might have some great bundles deal coming this fall. Perhaps an uncharted 2 bundle?therealnerdd
There's a great bundle at target right now. It's an 80 gig with Motorstorm and R:FOM and it's $400. I love both those games so it's a great deal to me.

I'm with you. I believe those photos/the slim unit IN the photos looked to official to be fake.
I ordered an 80gig ps3 off of dell today. I got 15% with this coupon: 65G7RQ11J?M2LH. Just copy and paste it at the checkout. After the taxes, the final price was 362$. Shipping and handling was free. So it's a good 38$ off. (Would've been a lot less if it weren't for taxes).
