Price drop would be nice but if the decideing factor for someone getting a PS3 is a $100 margin then I would say keep the other $300 and buy something else. I can make $100 bucks in 2 days and I don't even have a good job. If you've been saving for a while to get a PS3 how are you going to pay for the games?

They also probably wanted to deplete the current stock before the slim PS3 is announced IF the rumors are true (which I don't doubt honestly...)

First off that is a horribly mis-leading topic, especially since you provide no source.

Anyway, I'd just get a PS3 now. I'm about to get a second one in a couple months, but my friend is selling it to me for like 100 bucks. Talk about a steal! :P
