Its all good that the price droped for people who dont have a PS3 but i bought mine a month after it came out do i get anything like my $100 back im kinda pissed even thought i couldnt have lived without it for like 8 or 9 months but does anyone one know if i can get anything back in return?
You know I was thinking the exact same thing. I think some retailers have like a 30 low price guarantee, so if within 30 days they(or a competitor)have the same item for a lower price they can give you the difference back. I think I might qualify for it. I don't know about on-line retailers though.

You chose to buy it when you did because you thought it was a good value at the time so you have no room to complain. Just get over it.

People get real, you paid the price of having the console as soon as it came out. It's not like they dropped the price 2 weeks after it's release. It's been 8 months!!!
I'm happy I bought my ps3 for 600 bucks. In capitalism, you vote with your buck. I wanted to show support for Sony and their product and I felt there was no better way than to buy one while the price was still high. I kinda expected a price drop, and there was only one game I wanted and I could have waited, but I felt like that wouldn't reflect my true consumer interest, being I would have bought one in the fall no matter the price. So I don't worry or really want to get my money back.
I would take it if they offered, but I'm not asking for one, and i figure it would be a cold day in Heck when Sony just gave all alunch buyers a 100 dollar rebate.
I wonder if I can get something back for paying $300 for my PS2. I mean you can get that bad boy for like a bill now. And you know what, come to think about it I seen the same TV I bought 3 years ago for like $500 less. I need to call Toshiba.
I bought my PS3 30 days ago today. I took the receipt in yesterday to Best Buy because of their Price Guarantee. I got 100 dollars in cash back. Went right over and bought another game. Great fun. I love Sony and I love my PS3. It's the gift that keeps on givin'.
no this is kinda dumb, thats the risk you take when you buy any consumer electronic product... a newer cheaper one will come out soon enough... just enjoy your ps3

ok heres my story. at launch day i got a 20gb ps3 for $500. i also bought a 1 year product replacement plan. that means that if my product breaks they will exchange my ps3 no questions asked. (this was at best buy). so, as they discontinued the 20gb and the 60gb playstation is now $500 i would probably be able to exchange them. 8)
