Since there are loads and loads of complaints about the framerate problems with the latest addition to the PES series I decided to make a poll becuase there are also some people who's game works perfectly fine. People mostly notice these framerate drops during replays and when too many players are on screen. It is believed that there is a patch coming out soon to fix the problem. A way that some people find useful is to switch off weather graphics and play on a bad stadium, you can also try to install the game. HD TV's don't seem to fix the problem for some.

The big question now is... Has FIFA finally beaten PES?

I think is incredible that in aCONSOLE you have to switch off stuff like weather graphics in order to have a better performance in the game. I bought the game, I have this problems, I still think Pro is way much better than FIFA but this year they FIU. Pro evolution 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ex owner

well i bought pes2008 for ps3 yesterday and i like it alot.... framerate issues are not my prob.. they are just like the ones that you sometime experienced in pes6... plus the games looks good and plays really good... people are complaining that pes2008 isnt that different from pes6 and that fifa08 is a really good game... well let me tell you this..... pes6 was an awesome game and its not that easy to make an even better game after one so good.... fifa07 blows just like all the other fifa so its not that hard to make a good game after all those crappy soccer games..(fifa08 is preatty good though).. anyway i like pes2008 alot.. and it doesnt have all those problems that people keep saying it has...

The PS3 version of this game should never have been released in this state. Single player gameplay is ok, though cut scenes and replay framerate is appalling and certainly spoil the gaming experience for me. Online play isjust plain unplayable. This release just looks unfinished and is certainly unprofessional of the publishers. You certainly shouldn't have to be turning features off to try and make it playable.

No wonder there was no UK demo of this game as it almost certainly would have had a negative effect on sales. As it stands it is a waste of £40.

Yep Ive sent mine back. The only game ive ever sent back. Considering it costs £40 aswell, IMO thats alot and its completely not worth it.
