I was having no problem before, but now, it stays at the downloading game settings message. Note: I didn't say its freezing. Has anyone else had this problem?
I have had that happen to me a couple times, before the update. I just reset the game completely or go back to the main screen and go back into the online menu. That helped me.
My first time going online today on COD4. Luckily got into a team deathmatch, played a few. For some reason, it disconnected or something, some error bulls**t then i end up on the main menu for online. I go to 'Find Game' and get this crap saying DOWNLOADING GAME SETTINGS. Already done it before, thought it would take few seconds, waited ages, quit the game and went on it again. Still same crap in the online/multiplayer bit.
It's happening with me, too. I was playing problem-free yesterday for several hours, but today it won't go past "DOWNLOADING GAME SETTINGS..." The game doesn't freeze, it just won't go past that dialogue. Perhaps something is wrong with Infinity Ward/Activision's PS3 COD4 networks?
