Ok..... So I remember reading in the manual that if you leave the battery and memory stick in the PSP without using it for a long time, the battery may not work and the data on the memory stick will be corrupted. Do you know how much time you can leave your PSP off without this happening? Is it about a month?

I doubt it's even true, I never read such a thing myself (I guess I need to read the whole manual!). It's hard to say though. I leave my battery and memory stick in my PSP all the time, I mean, why wouldn't you? And so far nothing has happened. I leave my memory cards in my PS2 all the time also, and nothing bad has happened

ehhhh i stopped playing my psp for like 2 months when i moved to illinois and socom 2 wasnt realeased. when i bought socom 2 and started playing again my psp was fine. how the hell can leaving your battery and memory card in the psp for extended perriods of time corrupt the data on the memory card? that makes no sense. i mean...what if you leave your memory card in and you play your psp non-stop...will you turn into a goat?

I've never heard of that happening and I don't really see why it should happened to a memory stick. Rechargeable batteries do lose their charge over time but not in a month.

I didn't play mine for about 3 weeks and went back to get the new update and the only thing wrong with it was my battery was completely dead.
