Problem with friend's PS3...

Yes so my friend's ps3 has been actin' up lately. Fisrt off, when he selects a game and start it, the tv will loose a signal and then get a signal back but the PS3 will go back to the xmb menu along with an error message.

So that's not the only problem, but now the PS3 won't even read any blu ray disc, being a game or movie.

So now I can't even get the message number.

Anyone know what's goin' on or how this can be fixed?

This is my friend's second PS3 he had to go through, it'll be a **** to return in too, he has the warranty but are they really gonna give him back a 60 gig? Plus he's gonna have to pay for another warranty.

this happen to me when i got my first 60g at launch

first problem - disc reading error

second problem - internet/ wifi in side the ps3 was messed up( coundn't connect to the interent)

third problem - video keep giving bunch of lines

and by the 4th time i got my ps3 back withtin that year seems working fine to me now, hasn't given me any problems...

im still thinking of buying a new ps3, because i do hate refurbished items when sony send you one back
