My psp can't be turned on. I charge it but the orange light did not appear. The charger feels hot though. The last time i touch my psp was a couple of days ago. Played until the battery was flat. Somebody please help me.

How old is the battery? It might need a new battery pack?

sounds stupid i'm sure, but is the charger plugged in all the way to both the outlet AND the PSP? It could also be a bad charger, an easy way to test that would be to try a friends charger. It could possibly be the battery, but it's doubtful. First, make sure the battery is inserted fully (if you have to, remove and reinsert it to ensure) and try again. If still no luck, try charging with a USB cable in USB mode. Make sure to change the settings accordingly on the PSP if USB charging is disabled. If that doesn't solve your problem, try taking the battery out and just leaving the AC charger plugged in. Try to turn it on. If STILL no dice, i don't know what to tell you. Warranty?

EDIT: My bad about the USB charge, it didn't occur to me that you wouldn't be able to change the setting or put it in USB mode if the psp can't actually be turned on. Oh and welcome to GameSpot!
