I don't have a fast connection so I always download the updates from my PC, but I downloaded the new update and it says no applicable update was found, and then one of my friend downloaded it too and it says the same, so do you guys have this problem too?
I have downloaded it 3 times now and my friend 2 times and it still says the same thing, I am talking about the download via PC cos I know that via PS3 works but I am not going to take the risk with the PS3 cos of my low connection so dunno what can be this problem?
if the file your downloading is not corrupted, then ill say something wrong has to be with the file, they dont put the update that fast to download from the PC, wait some hours or ask if someone else has been succesfull using the file from the pc

Dude...What corrupts PS3 is : IF it's turned off WHILE installing. You can DL it from PS3 and if the power goes down or your connection drops there is not problem...I think. Can someone confirm this?

it is 157 Mb via PC so with my connection that takes like 1 hour but I think its cos they uploaded the full stuff and not only the fixed parts, but now that you said that if I download it from the PS3 does it only download the fixed parts?
got the same problem, i don't think the pc update is "up to date"..... http://www.us.playstation.com/PS3/About/SystemUpdate/history.html w/e i need a better internet connection so it stops disconnecting while im updating... should also allow us to put the updates on discs... just another exploit to get free games tho ;)
Has anyone had problems with their blu rays not playing? Since the update 2.52, they all stop right after they start, and my PS3 game stop right in the middle, too. No problems at all with plain DVD's.
I've heard that some guys had a serious problem with firmware 2.52 and their blueray drive apparently stopped working and now they can't play any videogame or blueray movie. I'm so freaked out that I think I'll wait till next firmware. Have anyone of you had this kind of problem???
