Problems Playing An NTSC Game In The UK!?

Just bought the collector's edition of Stranglehold which is the NTSC version from eBay.

I'm in the UK and I'll be playing it on a UK PS3 through an HDTV.

Will there be any problems? I know there won't be any problems with the single player, but I hear of people having problems with multiplayer when they use a different region game on their PS3

Does playing another region's PS3 game affect multiplayer?

Yeah PS3 games aren't region locked and using hdmi makes pal and ntsc issues irrelevant. I was concerned about multiplayer. I don't want to be playing multiplayer in the UK off a US server (bad ping/lag).

I don't know I heard that playing other regions on a PS3 might have problems with online multiplayer. Thats what I was asking.
