Problems while playing a ps2 game on the ps3

well I have the 80 gig motorstorm ps3

and I just picked up naruto ultimate ninja 3 today.

So I tried playing it on my ps3 and everything works fine up until about 5minutes it freezes.

at first i thought it was the disc but the cd has no scrathes on it

Does anyone know what's wrong?

First off, PS3's freezes are very common. second, 80GB uses software emulation, so its around 80% compatible, Check the official PS3 site to see if That naruto game has any know issues.

Just pop it in again, and if it freezes again to a lvl that its unplayable, you will have to wait until a firmware update is released, (It normaly enhances the compatibility of PS2)

I checked the compatibility of Naruto games on 80GB, and it seems Ultimate ninja 1 & 2 had some issues that were fixed with the 2.10 update, maybe you will have to wait if it keeps on freezing on ya.

I don't think that the PS3 freezes a lot... I've had mine for more that 9 months now and it has only frozen once, after playing 14 hours in a row xD

:lol:, they don't freeze every 5 min, but THEY do freeze, and special on playing PS2 on 80GB (cause of the emulation software)

Anyhow, mine has frozen around 5 times in 2 months already, lol
