Prototype graphics are not bad!

When I saw some gameplay movies of Prototype the graphics looked horrible, but to be honest, they are not actually that bad. They are fine in my opinion, when standing around on the street. The only problem I see is that when you take out military bases, the building crumbles down horribly and just disappears in to the floor. Also the explosions don't look great. But it still prove really fun. :D

I'm sorry, but anytime a game's graphics are worse that GTA4 (which they are in Prototype) the graphics are definitely bad. Gameplay is decent, though not impressive IMO.

Exactly. It may seem boring to look at from the air. But it is alive with real buildings, and lifelike pedestrians that bring it to life. (Well, until you bring death and destruction to it) :P

But the design isn't a problem. As long as the combat is spot on then you have a great game. aka Prototype :)

There's nothing wrong with them. People complaining about them need to stop crying, and just be happy that there are no frame rate issues at all. That's why the visuals aren't Killzone 2 great. Sacrifices had to be made in order for the frame rate to remain stable, and I'm all for that.... If only GTA4 had no frame rate slowdowns...

I'll take sub par graphics and consistent frame rate in a game anytime over a game with great graphics and stuttering frame rate.

Yeah, it looks pretty good, especially considering there's often over 100 NPC's on screen, along with vehicles, helicopters, hunters, and whatever else. And you can run super fast, with all that on screen, and get no slowdown. And it's actually not the worst draw distance ever for a sandbox game. There's been much worse. The Hulk game for this gen is one example...

Yes, the frame rate is spot on. There is sometimes about 20 or more different things happening on the screen, and the screen remains stable throughout :)

I probably shouldn't get invovled here, so I'll keep it short. Prototype has the worst graphics this gen. If you think otherwise you're an unconditional fanboy. I know sacrifices had to be made, but that doesn't change the fact that they are horrible. And there are still frame rate issues. I did see two or three times a small v-sync glitch. Nothing big, but saying there are "ZERO" is misleading. Really doesn't matter, though. The people who actually enjoy this game obviously enjoy it for reasons other than graphics. Just don't try to convince the rest of us that its good when it very obviously looks like crap. ;) Nephilim83

Graphics, frame rate, draw distance, etc.....IMO these things doesn't matter as long as the gameplay and story is good. I'm still having fun playing some PS1 games despite the outdated graphics.

Might not be bad but they sure aren't good and the art direction is horrible.

You did the same thing in that other thread when we discussed the gameplay and you said you'd overshoot small roofs, which like NEVER happens, ever. And you came back and said you got better at it or whatever. blah, blah, blah. No offense, but that's the same thing here. It's all exaggerated, and thus this is why people get defensive over it. I bet you'd be the same way if I said some things about MGS4 or KZ2 that were flat out untrue or extremely exaggerated.

I voted for Obama. :P See how different people can be? I'm sorry I do exaggerate, but people should know that its all a matter of opinion anyway. I wasn't lying about overshooting rooftops. GS even mentioned in the review how they hand to angle the camera down before they got to the top of a building so they could see where to land. Its not just me. And I'm not just going out of my way to bash this game. I just feel very very differently about it. That's all. Oh, and that "blah, blah, blah' mess was childish and uncalled for. I'm fine with opinions, but only when they make sense. Exaggerating, not so much. Because how am I supposed to agree or disagree with something when it's so exaggerated? I just call it out and call it as I see it.
