Hey, i got Prototype yesterday and i tried it this morning and this is what happends: I start the game.. A patch thingy pops up.. I try to Download and Install it.. but i can't. I allways.. ALLWAYS.. Get the error 80030001 when installing something. I got lots of memory on my PS3, so i can't really find out what the problem is. And this error pops up allways... it doesen't care what i install. I just get the error nowtimes. I wonder if i could download the patch manually through my PC. So i try to play Prototype without installing the patch. It works fine untill I get to the place were you are supposed to press Start. I do that.. But.. Then the screen turns black! I can hear the background music but the screen is just black, if i press the PS button the menu pops up so it hasn't freezed. I tried pushing the HDMI cables all the way in but that doesen't help either.. The HDMI cables are as they are supposed to be. Please help me!
I don\t know what the router is.. gonna check that soon.. And i really wonder if i could download the patch 1.01 for prototype manually? If there is any way. Help is very appriciated
I don't see the update on Activision's site, the Prototype site, or PSN.
If you can't get the d/l to work you can work around it for now by deleting all the game data and then disconnecting your PS3 from the internet. You'll have to unplug the ethernet cable or turn off the wireless connection every time before you load the disk, but at least your system won't know there's a missing update and it should run.
I didn't have any game data or saved games of Prototype.. Nothing.. I just start the game fine.. It goes to the place where it says "Press Start".. I do that. But then everything's black. I can hear the background music and the game haven't lagged. I can still press the PS button. But it's just a black image.. Im so desperate right now :'(
Allrite.. this is just getting stranger now. At the part where the screen was black, i turned the controller off. Then it came a ingame box saying "Warning: No controller is connected". I connected the controller back to the PS3 and pressed X. Then it was just a black screen againg. I guess i have to get the update... but since i can't install anything becouse i keep getting the error 80030001.. What should i do?! I really need help now
