Just a few of my own. On the NGS shots I tried to capture the difference when showcasing HDR in the game. I apologize for the some of them but you can get the picture of how the games look in HD as well.

Good question lol. I didnt' notice the 4 HDTV's until you mentioned it.Â
LiquidMetal, Please god list your TV's, and their sizes/specs. I'm on the market for a new HDTV, preferably not *too* big, but also 1080p, and yours look very nice.
Â
NOTE: I'm not talking about the gateway monitor, I'm mainly talking about the sony and the sharp. And even then, mainly the Sony. That TV looks amazingly good.Â

If you need the bigger screen then be prepared to go about 1000 for a good set. If you want something like the monitor you see in the NGS shots then you will only pay 400 and it will do 1080p. Also that particular Gateway model can take 5 inputs so you can use it for VGA PC use and HDMI 2 DVI PS3 usage.

Would it be so much to ask as for a lighter/clearer shot? I can't fully appreciate the shot... A $400 1080 will do nicely...Â

I would post more but I just took the camera back since it was problematic (Flash worked improperly). And yes that particular model is a Gateway 22" model # is right on the front in one of the shots.Oh, specifically, what's the model of the gateway? (SO I can google it. It's hard to tell what size it is, etc.).RoganSarineFDP2275W TFT LCD Monitor.
So you're telling me that is a Sony Bravia? what size? I'm not looking for anything huge, but preferably 35-40"0rinhttp://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8312284&st=sony+bravia&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1174091924765
Note - The 32" is 600 cheaper. Scouting the sales round the internet is critical, you may be able to save yourself big bucks.Â
Â
it's hard to price match in Canada I must say though... Hard to find that gateway in a local shop.
So the :
Gateway FPD2275W
Can hook up for 1080p? (Websites not saying so... Or I'm not looking at the right place..)
The only one in canada I can find is:

Sometimes I wish I was american for the searching factor :P So many more options.
PoopRoganSarineThat one looks nice. I seen the same one at my Best Buy for 699 so you are getting a fair deal there.

Great. 24" ain't bad either... I believe the CRT in my room is 27" anyway. Just gotta figure if I could get my PC speaker system up to it and I'm set. I might go pick one up later in the month. Thanks.
I think it still would be neat if people took the time to post "comparison shots" between 480, 780 and 1080... or atleast 480 and 1080. I've yet to find a couple.RoganSarineMotorstorm SD
Yeah, when it comes to comparing SD to HD, even just 720p, you will see such a major difference, you'll wonder why you even needed to ask. Also guys, I would just like to say that for anything under 40 inches, you dont really need 1080p. For under 40 inches, 720p is more than enough for your needs.Spartan8907
would it be feasible to get a 32-40" 1080p for ~ $600 more than a 720p?
Also, i heard sharp has a good contender to Sony's bravia..
0rin
As Spartan said, anything under 40", you don't really notice the difference between 720p and 1080p unless you sit within a few feet of the TV. At that point, it's just a matter of deciding whether you want to spend your money on higher resolution (1080p) or a larger screen. It's a tough choice, but you really can't go wrong either way.
As for Sharp's LCD TVs, they have very impressive image quality for the price. You'll spend a little bit more on a Sony TV since Sony has very good customer service and top-notch quality. Sharp's TVs are excellent as well, but I don't know how their customer service is. Though I must say that I've heard nothing but good things about Sony, Sharp and Samsung as well.
One of the sets I've been seriously considering is the Sharp Aquos LC-32D43U. It's a solid performing TV in my price range, but I really want a bigger set with 1080p. To get what I really want, I'm gonna have to dish out over $2000 for the Sony Bravia KDL-40XBR2. If you haven't seen it in action yet, you'll be impressed. It just looks so sexy.

Well sharp has a 37inch 1080p tv.That you can find on the internet for as cheap as $1500.The model i think is 37-GP1U made with gaming in mind, with a good contrast ratio and special VYper drive which is to reduce lag while playing video games. This is the one i plan on getting.

[QUOTE="Dogswithguns"]I have some of my PS3 pics but I dont know how to post them, can I use Photo Bucket?! techargon
yeah you can
Thanks, bro! I'll get them post....let me see.....Anyone have shots of what the PS3 looks like in 1080i?Â
We are considering getting a new 50" LCD for the game room but can't decide if we should get the PS3 first or the TV first. If we get the PS3 first, our only option until we get the 50", is a 26" Samsung CRT HDTV widescreen. It's only capable of 1080i, not 720p. And of course there's talk of getting two PS3's... One just for me!
Is nobody on this forum familiar with the TV's in question? The BRAVIA playing motorstorm has a 50% clouding issue defect. That means that 50% of the sets out there or so have big clouds that show up in dark screens and black areas, during all viewing times. The Sharp suffers from Banding, big horizontal and vertical dark areas that permeate the screen and decrease viewing since your eyes are automatically drawn to it. Hey, its your funeral though, the Bravia retails at about $2400 (40", the 46" is 3 grand) and the Sharp (assuming it is a 46D62U) at about 2200. Spend the money, get your problems.
Don't believe me? I dropped $3500 on a KDL-46XBR2, clouds all over the damn place. Returned it, and haven't bought a new LCD since.Â
