Ive owned a ps1 and ps2, but since the 360 came out first thats what I got. I enjoy playing online anad xbox live works really well. Now my question is Ive been thinking about a ps3 would it be worth me going out and getting one or should I just stick with what I have? and how is the online play? are there any must haves in the neer future? be a sales man and convince me I should by one.
'uses jedi mind trcik' "you must buy a PS3".... Did my sales trick work? .. No? .. damnit :P It's your job to convince yourself. Since that's what you'll end up doing in the end anyways. I highly doubt if 10.000 people came in here and said "See if you can find the 20gb PS3 and buy the latest BratZ game for the PS2 to play on it!" that you would actually do it :P
And as far as games go: Look around, we all know it's a matter of personal taste :P
i've never played on a 360 before so my opinion will most definitely be biased but i'd say the ps3 is an amazing console to get.. i'm satisfied with the online play. in terms of must have games.. i'd say look around yourself, cause there are so many games out there. and i have a question for anybody out there.. does online play on the 360 cost?
its a all what you like and when ps3 came out it really didn't sell me so i bought my wii and my 360 but the second ps3 has 10 exclusive games to the ps3 that i want ill buy it so far its up to 2
I remember I had the same problem, only with my Xbox, I couldn't even get it to connect online via the ethernet cable. So the built-in wireless and free online were two factors that made me consider buying a PS3. I also wanted some of the Ps3 exclusives, mainly Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, and Heavenly Sword. I bought a PS3 in January, along with Heavenly Sword & AC. I bought Uncharted & ratchet later on, and I don't regret buying a PS3.
i actually traded my 360 in for ps3 i like ps3 better my 360 froze up all the time and was tired of paying 4 online now i have a bad video game system that dont freeze up all the time and a blu ray player plus free online
The online works well with the ps3, but you may be discouraged if you are expecting a LIVE type of experience. Do you have friends with a PS3? The communication, messaging, invites...things you take for granted with Live are not the same with PS3. For me it was hard to get use to use to certain things, but yes, online with games like War Hawk , UT3, COD4, etc, work smoothly .....and its free. PSN is also improving all the time, so maybe the communication issues will get better over time.

There are plenty of must have games on the ps3. id say there are 10-12 must have games this year 08. there are just about 3 from last year, including Uncharted, Warhawk, and ratchet and clank. I think that uncharted is the best game of this current gen
I Dont See how you Justify paying for online. PSN is free and is about as good as Live. Live is 50 dollars a year aka 4 dollars a month. By the end of this gen you will pay 500 dollars for online. Asuming if the 360 last 10 years which i doubt will happen. If you stetch the cost of a ps3 out for the 10 years we all know it will last it would be less than 4 dollars a month (not including intrest)
Get a PS3 its more than worth it. And if you like movies its worth it just for the blu-ray
I have a friend that just recently bought a PS3 who has been an X360 owner for a couple years now, he says he is glad he made the purchase and has no buyers remorse whatsoever. So go ahead and purchase one for yourself. Sometimes, just because you're first on something doesn't make you better (X360).
Yes, I would recommend getting a PS3. The online is good. Check out HOME for the PS3 when you get a chance...it will be 10 times better than live. My cousin has a 360 and he is really excited about getting a PS3 when HOME comes out this summer. I would wait until then or the end of the year to get one. see what new systems come out as far as HDD space. they are probably comeing out with a 120 or 160 GIG and prices will probably drop again by fall or winter of '08. That's MY suggestion.
Oh, and as far as exclusives...I don't think I have any...but I heard Warhawk and Heavenly Sword are real good. Lair is worth a rent to see if you like it. I'm waiting for the price to drop on Lair and Heavenly Sword before I buy.
Oh wait...I have Resistance FOM and Dark Kingdom. The rest are multi platform. (Oblivion, THP8, GH3, Orange Box, NFS Pro street, Tiger Woods '07 and Madden '07)
Yes get a ps3 ignore the 360 fanboys. They criticize it knowing they never touched one. They just come out of the blue saying fiction stuff when they never played it and it gets on my nerves
