There is no official PS3 headset at the moment, but ANY bluetooth headset works. I assume all future games will have in-game voice chat. The devs of CoD said that they did not receive the dev kit for voice chat in time to implement it.Â
To answer your question a little more in depth, let me start by saying that I dont personally have XBOX Live, but I've used it extensively on my buddies 360. At the current moment, there are far more features with Live compared to PSN. No cross game chat and no achievements are the big things, at least in my eyes.
Achievements will be matched with Trophies in HOME, and rumors of xmb access in-game should allow for chat rooms to stay open in-game. Â
If you have any more specific questions, please feel free to shoot em my way either here or via PM and I'll answer them the best I can.Â
Does any1 know how many people are on resistance, and is it fun?acidic_dude
40 max and its very fast pacedÂ
Honestly, I think Achievements are a pretty cool part of the games that bring another dimension to them but I could take them or leave them, What I really do enjoy is the freedom to join any game without entering a PIN #. I do own a PSP and I have played very briefly on-line with SOCOM 2 . Is PSP online the same as the PS3 on-line? if so, in my opinion all they need is to do is impalement the voice chat feature as close to LIVE as possible.seano846
I'm not sure what you mean by PIN#. All you do is sign in from the Cross Media Bar which loads up when you turn on the PS3 and then start the game. So for instance, with Call of Duty 3, you turn on the ps3, insert the game, sign into PSN (which can be set to auto-login), select the game, select multiplayer, and then it will connect to the game lobby where you can join any game (since there aren't private rooms).
I don't own a PSP so I'm not sure about its online.Â
Depends on the game at the moment. Call of Duty 3 has no in-game voice chat due to reasons I stated earlier. But in resistance you press in the left analog stick to talk if you're playing with randoms or I think if you're in a clan it will allow you have open mic chat with your clan members. Double Agent is open mic with the other 2 members of your team as well. I'm really not sure about other games.

Yeah voice chat will come in all games sooner or later and the PS Eye will have a mic as well as Warhawk. Warhawk on Blu-Ray will come packed with a bluetooth headset.
Compared to Live, the PSN sucks major ass. I'm not being biased, that's just the truth. I have both and Live is just better. Constant Demos, the XBLA, Achievements, friends list that goes across all titles as well as in game messaging. I'm not saying that the PSN can't get better, it just needs a lot of work, and I don't think Home is the answer. It's a step in the right direction, but I wouldn't consider it direct competition because everyone isn't going to be into it.Kuruption84
You're right that everyone isn't going to be into home, that's why Sony has stated that anything involving community can be accessed directly from the XMB.
Yes Live gets far more demos and has Arcade games. But PSN still gets demos and PS Classics as well as PSN exclusives. I'm not sure what you mean by friends list that goes across all titles (I'm going to assume cross-game chat), but if that's the case, then it's highly possible that that is in the works for the near future.
Live is better than PSN, but I wouldn't say PSN sucks either.Â

My opinion isn't law or anything. I didn't say it was bad, I said compared to live it's bad. For free, it's pretty good. Like I said befor they have a long way to go.[QUOTE="The_Rick_14"][QUOTE="Kuruption84"]Compared to Live, the PSN sucks major ass. I'm not being biased, that's just the truth.
