What happens if your PS3 gets stolen or your trade it in or sell it etc, and you have all your credit card details on it for the PS Store... What stops anybody from using it?? Can you delete the details or have some kind of password protection atleast (I know you can set a password for buying stuff, but that doesn't stop you from going to the Acc. options and turning it off)...

So what can you do? Would you have to ring Sony to cancel your account or something?? I just started using the PS store, and now Im worried...

I don't actually think it's saved on your PS3, it's saved @ sony's database just as it would be for ebay or paypal. ;)

Yeah but say someone stole your PS3... They use it or sell it to someone, who can use your PSN account straight away, go to the PS Store and purchase stuff... No security or passwords etc... Isn't that correct?

If your going to sell your ps3, you can always format your hard drive. If it gets stolen... cancel your credit cards or something.

If you're worried about it then I would say do not save your PSN log-in password and disable auto-login. They would then need your password to log into PSN with your account and if they can't log in to your PSN account then they can't go into Account Management and therefore cannot see your credit card info.

Yes, that's what Im going to do, because Im going on a long holiday in a few weeks, and just want to be on the safe side.

Seems alitte strange that they store it & make it so easy to purchase stuff life that.

Anyways... Thanks for your help.

People love convenience but it comes with a price.

Somewhere in the acount management you can choose to erase the credit card you currently have registered. I know because I did that when I used my brothers credit card to purchase a game, right now its not saved anymore.
