ok i hope this helps u decide. PS+ can be worth it to some like myself and useless to others. now why is it worth it, well few reasons, u get free themes and avatars that u still can use after ur ps+ expires, u get discounts on dlc's, games and almost everything on the store. so if u shop on the ps store alot then its def worth it cuz when u buy the games on the discounted price u get to keep those as well ( u paid for it lol ) u get access to almost all betas for free, u get to try certain games for hr before purchasing them.....u get 4 games, for free every month i believe and u get to play them as long as u want, but once ps+ runs out so do the games, but u can replay them if u renew ur service. u get cloud storage, so u can even back up protected files and they will be safe so even if ur ps3 broke u have a back up in the cloud. theres automatic download, where it will update ur ps3 to latest firmware and downloads all patches for ur games without u have to sit there and watch it download. u could be sleeping and the ps3 will turn on and do those things for u lol.

now why its also useless is because, if u barely go online, and barely even use the PS Store, then there really isnt reason for u to get ps+ also, some months u dont get good stuff. there are times where the update is somewhat weak and not interesting. but if ur like me who games online and buys alot of dlc, and wants to play certain games. this is a good way, cuz most of the games i WANTED to buy, not only i got it free with ps+ but it helped me making my purchase. there are games i didnt know if i want to buy it or not and was a great way to check few games out. i have been with ps+ since it was available and i paid 100 bucks, just renewed yesterday, and i got so far over 300 dollars worth of stuff and most of that i get to keep

Beta is usually a multiplayer test of a game before it's released, so developers can get feedback from the players and test the servers.I'm a + subscriber and for the past 6 months i got a dozen of PS1 games, 8 cool minis (simple but fun games), 4-5 Sega clasic games (street of rage, golden axe etc.) and many PSN and full games. Can't remember them all, but the last ones were Sam and Max (all five episodes), Tomb Rider Underworld, Marvel Pinball and so on.

PSN+ works just perfect for me. And i also grabed the sweet deal, 15 months for 40 pounds. :)

basically what disseshowedo said, betas are the multiplayer part of the game and u get to test it and help the developers out, also have fun and see how good the game will be. and games i got past 2 months. lets see, i got all resident evil games for ps1 lol, resident evil 1, 2and 3 , also got the tomb raider udnerworld, full games of course. u dont get a demo, they are all full games just like if u just bought them from the store. wipe out HD, sam and max i got for free actually, that game was offered as a thank u for signing up with them.

I like it. It is justified for me simply having cloud saves. My PS3 has alot of hours on it and may expire. If that happens, when I snatch a replacement, it will be real easy to get the saves for games I have put work into.

All the free goodies are a bonus. Every once in awhile, I get surprised by the free game like last week with Marvel pinball. Such an awesome pinball game.

While Sony officially clams that you'll lose access to all FREE downloaded games once your subscription expires, that isn't necessarily true. Quite a few PSN games have had no expiration date including Sam and Max, Plants vs Zombies, Critter Crunch, Stacking, Magic the Gathering, Costume Quest and quite a few others I can't recall right now.

Really? My UK Plus account expired and a lot of the games without end dates got locked out.... most of the games that you download a demo and need a key to unlock the full game don't have end dates... but the key will get removed from your download list, making it so that you will only be able to play the demo not the full game once your plus membership ends...

Sam and Max was the only game that continued working... but even that, Ep. 1 which needed a key to unlock.... got locked out.

Not sure if it's same with the US Plus as my US plus account is still active.

That is odd as my Plus account was Australian which contained the exact same titles as the UK. Tried Episode 2 of Sam and Max weeks after my subscription had expired and it was definitely working as was Castle Crashers. I'll test out all those games I've mentioned (plus then some) and reply asap as to whether they still work or not.

Edit: Man, do I feel like a douche. The only title that continues to work 100% is Sam and Max. I've tried launching each episode with no problem nor is the 'Unlock Full Version' message displayed at the main menu. Each other game I listed no longer works and each obviously displays the Unlock message.

Sorry guys!

On the EU Playstation Store there's a section marked 'Playstation Plus' on the front page, you just click on that and you will see all current offers available with Plus. I imagine it would be the same with the US store if that's where you're at pal.

Bear in mind though, that Playstation Plus updates at least once a month and is currently updating every couple of days due to the 12 days of Christmas incentive, (again here in the EU) so it's well worth keeping track of what's on, every so often.
