PS Store...

will it eventually get music too? If there is a possibility, when will it come? Having music to download straight to your PS3 would be awesome. I hope it happens soon, If ever:|

itunes doesnt let me transfer the music plus the playstation doesnt play the format, i think. but wouldnt it be nice to have a ps3 music store??

itunes doesnt let me transfer the music plus the playstation doesnt play the format, i think. but wouldnt it be nice to have a ps3 music store??

It doesn't play the format? That sucks. I buy CDs, upload it to my PS3 and then transfer the files to my phone. Never needed an ipod.

download tons of MP3 songs and there you go.

Buy your music on iTunes, burn those to CD then rip the CD onto the PS3.lyndonAPI

You're not alone. I've been wanting a music store too. It's not laziness, it's convenience. I haven't bought a CD in at least 8 years and the last time I downloaded music on my PC was roughly 5 years ago. Having a music store and a more widely integrated in-game music player would make for a pretty sweet combo. Playing a driving game, buy some driving music. Playing an action game, buy some music to hunt by.emitsu97

I wouldn't mind it, as long as there would be a way to transfer those files onto a usb drive so I could still burn a hard copy. I'd hate to buy some All Shall Perish at .99 a song or something and not be able to spread the metal to the town in my loudbox on wheels. :twisted:bukkookkub

While i've been guilty as everyone has in the past, pirating music is not a good choice. Not only does it suck because you're not paying for the hard work, studio fees, costs for traveling etc. of that band... but you're adding to the reason that many bands will barely keep their heads above water. I'd gladly pay .99 a song and as long as there are websites like myspace out there that let you preview everything, you should be happy with your purchase. Don't be a bonehead and rip bands off. You wouldn't like working hard on a school paper for a week straight and then have everyone copy it, and also get the same grade.

now thats the way to think. if you download pirated music you arent paying for the band to stay alive. so then eventually the bands you love would be no more. wouldnt that be horrible? that's why the PS3 should get a music store, right?!?

I don't think that would be a good move. People just keep asking for more PC applications for PS3, i'd say the best thing for sony to do is focus on games, that PC-use of PS3 it's killing it, like those lenghty installs. What i like about consoles is just put my discs and start playing, not go through half hour installs and worry about upgrading my HDD or be carefull with my spaceJKusanagi

Exactly! The purpose of a console is to be able to slam your disk in and start playing straight away without having to worry about anything else. I do however love some of the extra features on the ps3...goes unreal as a movie database for my room.
