Well since the PS Store is down, you think they shut it down to add all those demos, traliers, music, movies and ect. Besdies we suppose to get some kind of Big update on the 8th so what ya think? I mean alot of stuff suppose to be added, or maybe im the only one whos Store is down

It has been shut down before. Nothing happened when it re-opened either, I think everyone just overhyped that rumor and are expecting to see it now.

things go down for routine maintenance all the time. Seriously, Sony's got a lot to do before they implement everything they have planned for the PS3. baby steps, folks, baby steps.
they are prepairing for the gdc announcement, apparently for some reason there servers will get bogged tomorrow or thursday :) , im betting its kz2 trailer and lair demo.

im thinking the big update will be released on a Thursday just like they do with the PSN updates. Plus i highly doubt they would put anything into effect before announcing it at GDC. But that just MY OPINION

I guess the store isn't completely down, just their server. They should be expanding their servers for faster downloads too.This is a given. And they definitely need to ramp up the servers as the userbase grows.
I think they will probably let us know when the update is coming. AND I doubt it would be before the official announcement at GDC.Sgt_Hale
They have never announced previous updates. They always just, appear, and then on the website 2 days later is a notice that there is a new update for the PS3. Don't see why they will go out of their way to announce a new one. Although if the new one is a big as the rumors say, then I can see why they would want to announce it to promote excitement for future PS3 customers.
