I plan on buying a PS Vita on launch day. I have never owned a PSP and got excited when they announced backwards compatibility. The 2 games I wanted a PSP for were Birth By Sleep and Crisis Core. Sadly I found that they are not on PSN and the Vita can't use UMD's. Still, I'm excited for the Vita, but mad because I really wan't to play those games. It seems stupid to spend $200 on a PSP for 2 games and then $250 for the Vita. Any chance they will come to PSN? Is there a way to take the game off the UMD?

I would imagine they would start releasing more of the PSP games to DL, or maybe remastered versions. I could be wrong though.

it would only make sense for them to release games that was originally UMD exclusive to PSN. this will could boost sales of those games.

Since third party developers aren't required to put their games on the PSN Store, I think it's a safe bet that UMD-only games that have been out for awhile won't be hitting the shop. I don't know why developers exclude releasing their games digitally. Has a company ever not profited by putting their game on PSN? It could be due to lack of profit, licensing issues, or fear of piracy, but at least most games are put on PSN these days. It's odd though that Square Enix has Dissidia and its sequel (and more titles) on the store, but leaves out games such as Birth By Sleep and Crisis Core. And I'm pretty sure the Japanese PSN has Birth By Sleep available for digital download. Sony should just require all devs to put their games up on PSN at time of launch.

I actually just bought another PSP (my old one bit the dust) for only 80 bucks with 3 games off of a guy I work with. That's about what they go for on Ebay most of the time, except mine was lucky enough to come WITH Crisis Core. :) Just keep an eye on it on Ebay and they go for cheap sometimes

If you only want to play those two games, just buy the PSP. They sell cheap nowadays.
