Is it now, or will it soon (or ever) be possible to play the ps1 games from the PS store on your PS3? I don't have a PSP and I don't really want one, but I'd like to be able to play those old PS1 games in the store. I don't wanna buy one and have it not work, so does anyone know if its possible now, or any time in the future???tonyandsteff
Sony says that this will be possible later this year.

No you can not. You need a PSP to play them. But you will be able to play them on your ps3 later on. Sony has not stated when this will happen, other then to confirm that it will happen this year.
I don't know why this is taking so long. The PS3 can already play PS1 games. How hard would it be for it to play these downloaded PS1 games?b11051973
Good point, it must be some technical issue that needs to be solved, but it's kind of strange given that disc based ps1 games works fine.
