Is it now, or will it soon (or ever) be possible to play the ps1 games from the PS store on your PS3? I don't have a PSP and I don't really want one, but I'd like to be able to play those old PS1 games in the store. I don't wanna buy one and have it not work, so does anyone know if its possible now, or any time in the future???

Sony says that this will be possible later this year.

No you can not. You need a PSP to play them. But you will be able to play them on your ps3 later on. Sony has not stated when this will happen, other then to confirm that it will happen this year.
It takes time to get these things put together and make sure they are bug- free enough to release. Once they get things going with the launch on Friday to the UK/ Europe/ Australia/ NZ they will be able to concentrate more on updates.
