1. you buy a PS3
2. connect it to the internet
3.open the Playstation store
4.buy the PS1 games you want on the PSP and download them
5. tranfer them to you PSP and your all set :D
^this is the only legal way to do it (there is a rumor going around that they are adding the store to the PSP so you don't have to buy a PS3)
I personally think that it is very lame that sony is making people buy a $600 dollar system, then have to buy PS1 games, and finally transfer those games to a separete memory card so that they can play it. So basically if you look at it, you are paying anywhere from $640-$680 to play portable PS1 games...good job sony, you win at life. Still can't beleive that people don't understand why i now hate sony.ff7nationIf anyone buys a ps3 just to play ps1 games they should be drowned in a pool of thier own stupitity :? The ps3 is its own seperate consol and has its own games and ways of doing things. You should be greatfull that they even let us have the ps1 games :D...and how could you hate sony :P they are the only reliable system.
yep there's another way...and its too easy but i dont want to be "famous" if u know what i'm sayinZandonaiI know what you're sayin'.
whats that other way of doing it, that you guys aren't saying. I have no idea what your talking about because I am getting a psp this week.Specter02147The way most people here consider illegal due to the brainwashing from Gamespot. I can't really explain it here, but it is legal if you own the PSone game's original disc. I use this method, and only play the Psone games in my collection. There for, I do nothing illegal. I don't really think you should really even consider this method, because there is a lot involved that if messed up the slightest bit could result in you having a nice PSP shaped brick.

It involves homebrew (unsigned, user-developed applications), which is frequently used for piracy, which is why Gamespot forbids discussion of it.I personally think that it is very lame that sony is making people buy a $600 dollar system, then have to buy PS1 games, and finally transfer those games to a separete memory card so that they can play it. I personally think that it is very lame that M$ and N$ is making people buy a $400/$250 dollar system, then have to buy old games, and finally NOT be able totransfer those games to a separete memory card so that they can play it ON THE GO. So basically if you look at it, you are paying anywhere from $450-$500 to play OLD lame games AND can't even bring them on the GO...good job M$ and N$, you win at life. Still can't beleive that people don't understand why i now hate M$ and Nintendo.
