PS2 and Dreamcast games on PSN

To make the PS3 an even better deal after the $299 PS3 Slim, there are rumors of Sega and Sony trying to get the entire catalogues of the PlayStation 2 and Sega Dreamcast onto the PSN. I'm curious as to why they haven't tried this before as aside from maybe licensing, can they really lose money? Furthermore, I'm curious as to how much you think they should charge for these.

It's not letting me, but I can't see Dreamcast titles going too far over $5—maybe $10 at the most. I may be wrong.

Well I have a feeling they will be sold for $10-$20.

To be honest though they should only be $5-$10 because thats how much most of them are on ebay and such >_>.

I'd be willing to pay $10 tops on either PS2 and Dreamcast games. No more. The only exception i would make would be for the FF games and God of War. Anything else shoule be $10 and under IMO.

Hopefully this will drop down the price of non digital copies. I needs to complete my PS2 collection. :D

if I could get the Sonice adventures game, Soul Caliber(original), and powerstone I would be estatic... no matter the price... oh yea and shenmue 1....:sigh: shenmue

If they sell PS2 and Dreamcast games on PSN and are playable on my 40GB model, then they better let me play with regular discs as well. Or there's no way in hell I'll ever buy any more off of PSN.

All I would care about right now is a copy of the first Capcom vs SNK. I already have it, but my Dreamcast has been on the fritz for years. A really nice "add on" would be some kind of a software Dreamcast emulator that'll let me use my DC disks on PS3. Though, I don't believe this would happen. But I can dream..:P

I'm not paying $25 for PS2 games just to download them. Sorry. Unless they're putting brand-new stuff and not releasing games in stores anymore, there's no way I'm paying that much for them. Unless they start bringing the rare ones. THEN I might consider it, but unless they start doing that, I'm not going to do that. That's more than the Greatest Hits games at the moment.

i think they are powre stone 1 and 2 are up for psp on psn

The xbox classics cost $15 on live, so I suspect that PS2 games would cost the same on PSN. If this becomes a reality, I just hope they actually take the time to make the games look decent in HD.
