After update 1.7 there was dualshock support added for using PS2 controller with an adapter on PS3. Because of this I bought the ADiS Tech adapter ASD-031. Got home and tried it with my wireless logitech PS2 controller, no vibration. So I thought it might just be the wireless controller so I tried a Sony Dualshock and still no vibration.

Anyone have any luck with this adapter, or if you know an adapter that works, preferrably with a wireless logitech, let me know.

I think the pS3 when they say has no vibration feature, it has NO vibration feature. They probably removed a component that wuold send vibration signals.

lol, you can always make an update to send a signal.. its not difficult. But as far as what should you do, maybe call up the support line and let them know.

This is hte point - had to be a game that outputs rumble. Someone also posted that it was only for wheels etc not regular controller, but think that was unconfirmed

Yes I have tried with a PS2 game, Tekken tag tournament to be exact. Has anyone gotten rumble to work via a controller adapter. If yes what brand adapter are you using.

I have answered my own question. Here is the list of controllers that work with FORCE FEEDBACK due to update 1.7.

This is from Playstation.com

What peripherals for use with PlayStation®2 format software have the Force Feedback function enabled for use on the PS3TM system?

 Answer

The Flightstick 2 (made by Hori) is currently the only peripheral that uses the Force Feedback function with PlayStation 2 format software games, played on the PS3 system.
