Long story short, is the Eye Toy for PS2 able to be used for video chats on the ps3? Or do you *have* to get the ps3 Eye in order to be able to do it at all? I was looking at one or the other for it, and honestly getting a used eye toy that will suit that purpose sounds a lot more attractive (fiscally) than paying $40 for a ps3 Eye.

I use an $18 Logitech Webcam C120m. Bought it at Walmart for my pc, but plugged it into usb on ps3 and works good. Frame rate is slower than the PS3 Eye and resolution is slightly lacking, but works great for much cheaper than sony's cam.
