PS2 to PS3 Adapter Advice Wanted

So i recently found out about these adapters that let you use your old PS1 AND PS2 controller with your PS3 system, so i wanted to ask?

Do you use one? If so which one?

Iv'e had a look on eBay and they seem really cheap and it look's like a better method than buying a new controller, so if you use one how does it work and is it any good? A better option than getting a new DS3? Please post what brand yours is and any details you know about them, i also found out that Sony released a firmware update that disabled users using third paty PS1 AND PS2 accessories, if so is it only worth getting one of these adapters if you still have the orignal PS1 OR PS2 pads?

Hi, I didn't know you ould even get the controllers compatible. I think it would only work for some games as the configuration of the PS2 controller is very different. For example, there is no HOME button to get to the main menu.Ewan-Lumsden

Thanks, i am having a look myself and they seem to be getting pretty crap reviews - 'they don't work' type of reviews

My brother had one hooked up to his PS3 but it stopped working after an update so just make sure that the one you are going to buy works.conistant

Damn, it doesn't look like a good idea to get one now...the update was probably intentional to ensure people pay full for DS3's
