Can these converters be used to play PS3 games with PS2 controllers?
I understand that motion sensing functionality will be lost, but will you still be able to play for example, Resistance: Fall of Man with PS2 controllers using this converter?
Thanks

Should work fine unless the game has sixaxis features.

Although I can't see why anyone would want to use a PS2 controller on a PS3 game that doesn't support rumble. See it more for the folks that want to play their old PS2 games that have the rumble and want to use that feature. Or if someone wated to use an old GH controller on their PS3.

In 2008 the dualshock 3 is comming out and i am sure most of the PS3 games will have patches to include rumble at that time. Dualshock 3 with have both rumble and the sixaxis in 1 controller.

^^^ it's cheaper than going out and buying new controllers, that's why... and yes, they do work for ps3 games, minus sixaxis support of course... but then again, every instance of sixaxis support i've seen so far is totally gimmicky and useless. without going on a rant about it, i'd say it's the most underutilized and under-implemented design choice videogames have seen in years...

Yeah, i'm considering them mainly due to cost, and I wanted to get a controller alternative before spring next year.
I'm not too sure when it came out, but i've seen it around in stores.

Can you buy just one and use a multi-tap for more than one controller, or do you have to buy one for each controller?

I think not, because the adaptor is for the controller only. The multi-tap uses 2 slots, the controller slot and the memory slot...
