I've heard that the usb headset from PS2 should work on the PS3 but when I plugged it in and went to play it didn't work. Is there some setting or something that needs to be turned on for it to work?

You have to go to Settings then Accessories then Register Headset.

I use a Socom 2 headset.

wrong

you have to go to Settings> Audio Device Settings> then change the input and output to the name of the USB headset

after that it will work like a charm

I'm using a USB headset, mic, and keyboard that I bought and used on my old PS2.
