I have recently purchased two Panasonic 3D plasma televisions ( 42 inch ST30 and a 55 inch GT30). Motorstorm Apocalypse and Socom 4 have given me my best 3D game experiences so far. Clean images and not a lot of ghosting problems. Killzone 3 can look good, but has horrible ghosting problems in some sections of the game, and the jaggies seem very pronounced in this game. GT5 looked good in the outside camera views but not so great inside the car.

( outside of PS3 i like COD:BO in 3D on my 360, it performs very well on my television.)

What games do you enjoy in 3D and how well does your tv perform in 3d?

Now topics like these are what I like. I haven't tried any 3d games on my 3d tv yet (since I just got it last Wednesday), but I have the KDL-55HX800. I am waiting for Uncharted 3 to hit so I can test out the 3d gaming. Again, thanks for being original with your topic because this forum is flooded with "Should I sell my PS3 & Waaaaaaaaaaaaah, I can't go online topics".

I have tried just a couple of games... Killzone 3 has a very good 3D effect on gameplay, but on cut scenes the quality drops... but at least on gameplay (what matters) looks very good. On Gran Turismo 5 or Wipe out pure is ok... Not played enough to give a full opinion about the game, but I felt dizzy playing these games. Mortal Kombat 9, I like the 3D on this one. But the game that really shines on 3D (in my humble opinion) is Stardust HD... I really liked the 3D on this one, when something hits you the particles looks awesome... I have a 46" Sony LCD LED... dont remember the exact number model but is a 2011 model. Had a samsung 46" series 7000 but had Input lag, so I changed it for this sony and the input lag problem is gone :)... So Far I love my 3d TV.

I'm not familiar with 3D TV models, but are any of the above ones mentioned using passive glasses, or all they all for active glasses? I was wondering what the difference between the two are for TV. I tried a demo of a 3D TV, and it game me a headache after a few minutes, so idk how the newer ones are with that, but they definitely seem like a love hate type thing.

I got a 52" 3D Samsung Plasma and a 52" LG Cinema 3D. I would say the LG owns as far as visuals and 3D clarity, plus it uses the same glassesthat areused in the movies NO BATTERIES and they only cost $10. I played just about every 3D game to date and I love it. It changes alot IMO and makes it feel more in depth. I'm currently playing MK in 3D and it's awsome.

Yes, Mortal Kombat 3D is nice, but how come the "xray" kill scenes are not in 3D?

It's been confusing me why TV's need active glasses while movies and other short films in 3D don't need them. Also, is it the type of 3D that has things coming towards you or is it more like going into the TV screen in order to add depth (the only demo of a 3D TV I saw was stuff coming at you which was odd when a soccer ball would come at you and then be cut off since the screen wasn't large enough).

I think it is because where the characters are fighting and the characters aren't in 3d. I know the background and foreground are.

I have a Panasonic VT20, and my experience has been terrific. I love Killzone 3, Crysis 2, Mortal Kombat and Prince of Persia in 3D. Regardless of what others say, I think 3D is here to stay... I just think people want the tech to not require glasses. I don't mind them myself.

I agree. Although, I haven't played games on the Sony KDL-HX800, I was watching The Legends of The Guardians in 3D on my tv & must say that the 3D was cool. Lol. There was even a scene where my girl was reaching out at stuff.

Haha, same thing, although mine is a Sony TV. Sometimes I even wanna sabotage my TV to warrant a new one, I keep trying to look for defects and other stuff, but this is a superb TV (minus the 3D).

Maybe I'll get one by the time Uncharted 3 comes out, I know a friend that will buy my TV anytime, the problem is the price since the non-3D TVs are kinda cheap now.

I'm happy with my purchase. For a weird reason I have a lot of ghosting if I play something in 3D after my PS3 just started. If I have my PS3 running for about 30min the 3D works perfectly fine ... dunno why, IMO that's extremly weird

Sam-sung 55 inch plasma, Cod blops is good in 3d i play it alot. Killzone 3 was really good except for some ghosting issues. de blob2 was really good in 3d water looked amazing. Gran turismo is alot fo fun in 3d it more depth oriented though. Crysis 2 was good in 3d but boring. Mortal kombat is pretty awesome in 3d.

I got an LG D2342 23" 3d monitor. Works great. At the moment all I have are Uncharted 3 and Mortal Kombat that support 3d. Both game do great in it. I like MK's 3d a little better because I do not have to keep my head in one general area as much as I do with Uncharted. With Uncharted I have to kinda find a sweet spot or some ghosting appears, not too bad and it is bearable. I think UC3's 3d impresses me more though.

Anyone try out the official Playstation 3D Display? It's pricy at 500 bucks, but I'm in need of a smaller monitor anyhows.

got a Samsung C7000. Best 3D game so far for me has been AC:Revelations. No ghosting and good depth. Uncharted's not bad but a little dark for me.
