Hello, I have recently bought a 80GB PS3. And I was wondering if Kingdom hearts I and II would work on there? I have never owned a PS2, but kingdom hearts just looks plain fun and I wanted to try it out, so will my PS3 be able to play it? By the way I dont have the MGS4 bundle just the one without a game.

The PS3 80GB does not have backward compatability. The only option you have is to play PS3 games on your PS3. Or you could buy a used PS2 to play PS2 games. Best Buy offers backward compatibility PS3's but you have to pay $100 bucks extra than the normal $400 for a PS3 80GB.

If the system has chrome, black, or 4 USB ports in the front, it has some version of PS2 Backwards Compatability.

If it has silver, it has no PS2 BC.

All PS3 models play PS1 games

The new standalone 80GB and new 160GB Uncharted bundle do not have Backwards Compatability.

What are you talking about? Yes you can play PS1 and PS2 games on the PS3 80gig version as long as you have the origional one with 4 USB ports. Trust me, I have one and have played all three gens of PS games on it.
