I'm planning on purchasing a PS3 in the next few weeks, I don't have the money right now.. although I really want that MGS4 bundle that's coming out on the 12th. Does anyone have any idea if it's a limited edition package?

I don't want to miss out on getting the 80 gig.. I really don't think I'd completely enjoy the 40 gig. It need a BC PS3.. since my old ps2 was stolen.

I'm pretty sure that the 80 GB is coming back for good. If I remember correctly, Sony had a "shortage of hardware" that makes up the 80 gig system. It's kind of what Nintendo is doing with the Wii. It's all about supply and demand my friend. I haven't heard of the 40 gig being phased out though. I would think they would do well to keep both. Alot of people don't care about PS2 compatibility, so they'll save $100 and go with the 40 gig. As long as Microsoft keeps supplying 4 models of the 360, Sony will keep offering similar products.

That's a relief!

Also, is the fat psp compatible with the ps3? Or is it only compatible with the slim psp?

There are two MGS bundles. The mainstream one is available everywhere. It's the 80 gig with MGS4, a dualshock 3, and a free download for the game Pain. Konami has a limited edition with a gunmetal grey 40 gig system, MSG4 LE, and a ds3 controller. The mainstream bundle is $499...awesome deal!! Konami's web site only bundle is $599...not really worth it if you ask me. I doubt we'll see any price drop on the 80 gig alone. Maybe for the holidays. GameStop will sell the bundle with the MGS bluetooth headset for $559, which is the mainstream bundle with the added $60 for the headset.

Hm. I'd really love that gunmetal PS3, but I can't justify spending an extra 100 on a different color. Too bad. lol

What games out now utilize the PS3 - PSP connection?
