I love my PS3 and Sony, but I was wondering how odd it is that so many current PS3 games are getting bad scores, some worse than the Xbox 360 version of the same game, because of bad horrible frame-rate. If the PS3 can't hold a steady frame-rate on a current game maybe it is a failure or it will get better with newer games. Will the frame-rate problem ever be fixed and does the PS3 have a worse frame-rate than the Xbox 360, and will the frame-rate affect games such as Rainbow Six Vegas, which I am really looking forward to. Please help and put your opinions and responses here. Thank you.
Oblivion has a slightly better graphics and runs smoother with less loading times than the 360 version. There is no frame rate problem, just lazy developers
come on now i'm a PS3 owner and I couldn't be more happy with the system yes it has few games at this point but look at the fall/winter lineup of games plus the updates sony gives us plus Home by the end of the year...this machine will be back on the most wanted console here by winter's end. the PS3 just keeps getting better and better and never was horrible so its got a strong bright bright upside.
No the PS3 is not a failure. Its just having a slow start like the ps1 and ps2. And from the looks of it the system will start getting better this summer with the release of new games. Starting with Lair.
I keep thinking about the first games that came out on the ps2 and ps1 and how bad they looked compared to later games. Hopefully that'll happen with the ps3.
its a failure for sony in that it did not sell as well as they expected out of the gates. however, sales WILL pickup when more games are released and after price drops. so it will not fail in the way of the dreamcast, but the sales thus far are certainly below sony's expectations. its still up in the air in which system will win this war, so don't count sony out yet. i also think that sony did a very good job in designing the ps3. it truly is a great all around machine and its worth every penny. but their decision to include such expensive hardware in the ps3 will naturally make it expensive which is not a good thing if you want to make a splash in the casual market. anyway, like i said, i think the ps3's sales will pickup. there really is a lack of games right now, but once more games get released, it will start to sell better. and when the big titles roll out, the sales will REALLY pick up.
Well so far those analysists are right on the money with their prediction. Extremely rocky start in the beginning but then pick up pace and deliver. Seems like that is starting to happen, especially after Gamer's Day.
Why do people keep saying the PS3 had a slow start? The PS3 has sold more than the PS1, PS2, and Xbox360 during it's intial release time. The media just likes to beat down the PS3 and wants you to think it is doing bad. As far as slow frame rates that is the developer's fault (not the PS3's) and as far as raw hardware the PS3 has a slight advantage over the X360. All consoles will come out smelling like a rose this generation, but the PS3 will be on top. The one thing I wish is that everyone could see is how the maker of the green and white console is ripping it's customers off. Developers keep trying to put stuff on the maker's online store for free but the maker makes them charge for it. Kind of crappy if you ask me. There is a lot more I could get into about how they try to squeeze every penny out of it's customers but do not have the time. I know business is to make money but there is a such thing as giving your customers value.
I'm sure Sony wishes it were doing better but since none of us work for Sony, that's not our problem. Its too earlier for success/failure stuff. Gamers know it takes time for a system to come into its own.
