Ps3 AA question... ^^

Just got a new TV today.. and i finally can see the AA of PS3 is really not that good as expected. I havn't compared it with Xbox360 yet, coz it is in my freind's house. (Trash for others, goodies for urself). I do remeber some ppl talked about it couple days ago.

But my question is, why Xbox360 can run better AA (at least from gamespot's screenshots) than Ps3? aren't they both using the type that can't run AA and HDIR toether? I am curious about the architecture behind it. If you have a website, or detailed explaination to provide it will be great.

Well it is all complicated but from what Iunderstand,the PS3'sGPUcan't do HDR and AA at the same time from a technical stand point. However, as a dev said already, it is possible to emulate the one that isn't being done by the GPU(Can't remember the game and the one being emulated that I got this from).

Right now, it isn't strange not to see many games trying to emulate the other though. Most developers were probably just pleased to get a working product out. But in the future, hopefully we'll see more of this tactic.

U mean dev for Ninja Gaiden? :p what confuse me was... I thought both ATI and Nvidia graphic card used by Xbox360 and PS3 doesn't support AA and HDR at the same time ... Although it doesn't seem to be obvious sometimes, I still like to play without that kind of confusion.

Well, I don't know much about the 360's GPU. I just guess that the 360's GPU is able to do the two at the same time based on how 360 gamers talk in System Wars.
