I've heard that the Guitar Hero controller doesnt work with the PS3. that sux, but does anyone know of a periphal which is out now or coming out later this year that can somehow make the guitar controller work with the PS3?LonelyPrinceThe Nyko Adapter is supposed to be compatible with the Guitars. Though it isn't out yet (not even up on their homepage), but they did announce it on the CES 2007.

That's exactly what I was thinking. The adapter in that link makes no sense... A male USB cable and a male PS2 connection. If that picture is correct it looks like it will make the SIXAXIS connect to the PS2. Also, no PS button which would be required for the Guitar to work on the PS3.

uhh, what would stop you from just having a SIXAXIS as player 2 or whatever? then you could just use that PS button. I fail to see your logic. The adapter in that link makes no sense... Because the PS button is what syncs the controller to the console. Without that button on either the guitar or the adapter, it would be a dead peripheral and only the player 2 sixaxis controller would be recognized. The adapter in that link makes no sense... I work with a guy that got GH2 in December. He talks about it everyday and it makes it difficult to wait.
The Image in the link is correct it just LOOKs like a male PS2 connection.Gah, I want GH so bad I can taste it! Should I buy the wireless GH controller and end up blowing about $110 between the game and the controller, or should I just buy the bundle with the wired guitar for $70, and wait until an official bluetooth guitar is made? I'm torn. :(
But it's still just a generic PS2-USB adaptor, and not the promised Nyko one which is supposed to have all you need to use GH contrtollers with the PS3.
As for using a sixaxis in a player two slot, the problem is it would only recognize the Sixaxis and not the controller attached by an adaptor unless you hit the mode or PS button something that the GH controller dosent have because there's no analog button like there is on a regular PS2 Dualshock controller.

from what I've heard due to MS not wanting to reveal the specs on their wireless tech to developers for some mysterious reason.Same reason there is only three wired controller slots (2 in front, 1 in back, dunno if the 1 in the back supports controllers) to make sure they can get as much money as possible. Wireless is a luxery, and people are very willing to pay for it, so Microsoft, made a kind-of Xbox 360 wireless monopoly
