Never used it, I have a 60" Sony SXRD that does 1080p, I said I was going to buy 300 on Blue ray when it came but I lamed out, it's too damn expensive for a movie, I'm sure it looks rediculous though

If you have an Ebay account you can find 300 on BR for about $24 + about $4 shipping...it's actually a pretty good deal...we watched the movie about 3 times while it was rented and I rarely do that. I'll be purchasing it in the future whenI get a tv, but if you have a TV like that man you need to get this movie!!!!
I think that it is good i've watched casino royal on my 46" sony bravia and it looks really good probably a bit better than the HD movies that other companies make:D.
It is an excellent blu-ray player. People over at www.avsforum.com were debating whether or not it was the best consumer electronic device ever made because of all of it's capabilities, such as BD, upscaling of DVD, as a CD player, and I think SACD too (I forget if it is SACD or DVD-Audio or both). While a ridiculous notion, the fact it was even being debatable is noteworthy.
The only thing considered lacking would probably be the lack of analog outputs, so the only way to get uncompressed audio is over HDMI. Not a problem if you have an HDMI receiver.
Ps3 is better but the price is the only thing thats a let down. I have no problems with money so I got my ps3 the first day :D Am not a fanboy though. Anyways The Blu-Ray is brilliant
The PS3 blu-ray player is top-notch ive got casino royal on dvd and blu-ray and ive seen it at pictures the blu-ray looked like it was what played the movie at the pictures. only thing is worse is the sound... i dont have surround sound u see.
It is still one of the best blu-ray player out there and easily compare with the best on the market. The only thing it is missing right now is DTS-HD support but sony is in talk to add it in a future firmware update. One problem for those who will use the PS3 as a blu-ray player principaly may be the lack of a IR port. If you don't buy a USB to IR dongle, you wont be able to use universal remotes like the Harmony. And even then, the remote wont be able to power up the PS3 like the controller and the official bluetooth remote can. Not a big problem to me, but some people may be sensitive to this particular problem.
