ps3 broke flashing red light will i lose everything in there ?

my ps3 broke last night and now has the flashing red light problem . . does that have to do anything with the hard drive or will i be able to rescue my saves, downloaded games and videos ?

Yeah this happened to me. I could not access my hard drive to back up my data so if you send it in for repairs you will lose all your saves and stuff. It sucked pretty bad I lost a lot of game saves, one game save I lost that I wish I could of saved was over 300 hrs of oblivion :(

Oh also if you can get on your ps3 go head and back up your data on an external hard drive.

i cant access my ps3 to back up anything so it looks like its over.

will i at least have my trophies when i log onto my account from another ps3 ?

and what will happen now ? i think my waranty has expired so will sony replace my system ?

this happened to me in december, i had a warranty through target so i got back the same system and didn't lose any of my save files...if you get back the same system without them taking out the hard drive you will not lose your save files. someone from sony told me this.

They most likely won't help you out if you do that. Just contact Sony and let them know what is going on.

i am thinkng that its their fault so they should help me out and replace it . . i didnt do anything . . it was vertically placed and everything else . . and it was taken very good care of
