Is it normal for the ps3 to somtimes make clicking noises, ive heard it on the 360 and on my hdtv, i figured its just temperature change??

I've never heard any before..... and I've had it and played it every few days since release... mabye theres a little man inside your TV clicking his tongue :!

My PS3 makes grinding noises when it sometimes loads a game but never a clicking noise.

aye could be. though hearing it also from a HD telly? hmm. ure telly is not a CRT by any chance, is it? CRTs click when they change resolution.

its also unlikely that the HDD in both his PS3 and 360 are on the way out.

still keep an eye on it and back up data on ure PS3 if u have some. could be nothing, could be a HDD going to meet its maker. no idea why ure telly would click really.

I've kinda heard a small clicking noise from time to time... But I havent really paid any attention to it, mine is just like the noise my hdtv makes but a lot softer

If your close enough or you have some really really good hearing what you may be hearing is thremal expansion/retraction. Just a thought.

It's the hard drive activity. you usually hear it most when you turn the PS3 on.

You guys need to check your system out. My PS3 is whisper quiet. My 360 on the other hand, sound like a 747 on take off.

ya its happening to my ps3 too , when i open it or when im playing a game it starts makeing some clicking sounds but i only hear it for like 5 seconds and thats it so i think its normal , i asked alot of my friends and they said its normal for the ps3 to make clicking sounds
