ok. i have dsl and everytime i want to play online i have to diconnect my ethernet cable form my computer and plug into my ps3. i want to be able to play online and be online on my computer at the same time. how do i do this

You need to buy yourself a wireless router,i've got a Linksys wireless G-WRT54GS.Then you can easily set up and use your PS3s wireless mode.

so..i would be able to hook up my ps3 wirelessly to the router and leave the ethernet cable in my computer...would i be able to connect other things to the router such as ipod touch psp etc

im pretty sure ipod touch has wifi, so yeah, ps3, your ipod and any other wifi enabled device would be able to connect to the internet wirelessly.

I have my main desktop connected in the office and the PS3 and a laptop connected in the liveing room wirelessly with no problem. I have DSL and use a older model D-Link router. I found that opening ports up for the PS3 and assigning the PS3 to a IP address made a big difference. Also make sure your getting a NAT 2 connection on the PS3.
