Both horizontal and vertical will do as long as there is enough space around it for air circulation. but mine is horizontal because it looks nicer that way. and in any case you won't get the RROD :P

Veriticaljust for the simple fact that it takes up less room, but ti does look better horizontal.

If I had one, I'd keep it vertical. Why? Because horizontally it looks like a George Foreman Grill. Come to think of it, wouldn't it be awesome if the PS3 doubled as a Foreman Grill? You could make fat-free burgers while playing video games.darthzew

Well that was the second funniest thing I've seen all morning.

I keep mine vert for the same reason I keep my Wii vert: to say "Yeah, this is the slightly less stable option, even though when I first had it like this I tested that a decent top push (about two pounds of pressure, that's all mine would probably ever feel) and it didn't budge"

Vertical for me, and about the foreman grill,I remember seeing a vid on youtube or something awhile back where someone was grilling burgers or steakson their PS3.
