Ps3 Crashes "Cod4'

I bought a ps3 early last week. Trying to play call of duty 4, i've had a couple of problems. First, everytime i try to play online, it tells me "downloading game settiong" forever. During the day i can login and play after about a 5 min wait. Also when i try to play Split screen. The game locks up on me. I have to go to the ps3 and turn it off manually. I returned my ps3 thinking it may be it, but i still have the same problem with the new one. I haven't had any problems with Resistance 2 or Motal combat vs DC. What do you think is the issue?

Maybe it is your call of duty 4 disc.Try replacing that.K1LLR3175

Agreed....there has never been a problem(KNOWN) with bugs in the PS3 version of COD4
