ps3 demo download times

I just got a ps3, and i was jus wondering, how long do demos take to download for you guys, i am downloading the Ratchet and Clank demo, and it is taking forever. How long does it usually take. Thx

went from a 1-2 1/2 hour time to 30 minutes

Mine took 25 minutes to download the Turok demo. And that was right when it hit the PSN.

I get about 1mb/s.

1st of the comment that PSN is free so u should be lucky anything works is total crap. So far all of the downloads for me have been more than fast. However as of recently, maybe last 2 updates, it has been miserably slow. Actually so slow i canceled the Turok download after hours of download and only 18% gain.

Not really sure but it seems that it is something server side. So either Sony is preping an update, or an overhaul, or maybe just shifting stuff in preparations for Home!

1. It depends on how fast your internet connection is.

2. Midday is most traffic, but if you have a high speed connection, won't slow down much.

3. Keep in mind that PS3 demos range from hundreds of MBs to over 1G of memory, so it may take a bit.

I have a 3.5 - 4MB broadband (Wired) from Bell Canada and 1 GIG demo takes me anywhere from 20-30 minutes. That's 540 KBs per second.

I don't know what kind of trouble people are experiencing with PSN, I haven't had issues with it. The speed is same as my computer webpages.
